URGENTE: EUA anunciam tarifas de 12,5% ao Brasil por trabalho forçado
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced on Thursday (23) a 12.5% surcharge on Brazilian products. The surcharge will not affect products that were exempt, such as coffee, beef, ethanol, aircraft and Embraer parts. The measure was taken after accusations of forced labor. The tariffs also apply to more than 60 countries. Among them: Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and Switzerland. Jovem Pan's International editor Fabrizio Neitzke provides an analysis of the new tariffs imposed by the US.
