The Russian sidestep
In our school we use two types of sidesteps, both of them used by Russian fighters in MMA and boxing, and also by some Russian martial art schools. The goal of all kinds of sidesteps is to step off the line of danger and attack from an angle. This particular sidestep, which we call "the Russian sidestep" is a very economical move and it can be combined with rapid level change and counter attacking at the same time. It is a very useful addition to your footwork tool kit, once you get familiar with its mechanics and tactical applications. Don't forget to check our instructional video shop at Pivotshare. We will be adding brand new material regularly! https://stormrussiancombatsystem.pivo...
