They purchased one to see if the concept works. So far, the staff seems to like it for the ideas behind the health and safety, but they are still evaluating whether it truly is a clean cab. There are benefits and challenges to a "clean cab" idea. The biggest hurdle is the mindset of the firefighters. It's been said that "clean cabs don't make grabs," however, there is not much-proven evidence to this point. Learning new techniques and procedures is the biggest struggle for a complete buy-in for this change. Adams County administration takes us on a training mission providing you with a first-hand view of any delays in the deployment. From what we witnessed, there was none. The staff is highly trained and efficient in using the clean cab. Not to mention this truck is beautiful. Thank you to everyone involved in this Station Rigs episode.
