Business Minister announces measures aimed at supporting businesses ahead of Treaty's implementation

The Minister for Business has announced a raft of measures aimed at supporting businesses ahead of the Treaty's implementation. Alongside the publication of new customs guidance, the Government will launch a customs testing platform, consult on a Business Act and appoint a State Aid expert. Speaking to GBC after her address at the GFSB dinner, Gemma Arias-Vasquez reassured local firms that the new residency rules will allow employers to recruit young talent below the revised salary threshold. She also said a series of town hall meetings will be held in the coming weeks to answer questions from the business community.
