On December 23rd, I took a full day trip to chase the Sonic Express from Hakata to Oita by car. Since I couldn't overtake the train no matter what I did, I would take one shot and then move to another location to take pictures before the next Sonic passed (30 minutes later). I asked a person in Oita who I am indebted to for help to provide me with the car as a job. All the shots were taken from a safe distance away from the tracks.
