If you're not sure what osteopathic medicine is, the difference between DO and MD, what OMT is, and what some of the main principles and beliefs of osteopathic medicine are, you should watch this video!! I'm very passionate about preventative medicine, treating the root cause of illnesses, embracing a healthy lifestyle to help people live longer and rely less on medications, and also less invasive treatments - all things embodied by osteopathic medicine! Osteopathic physicians can practice in any specialty and we actually get more training in osteopathic manipulative treatment and extra emphasis on the whole patients aspect when treating patients! Both MDs and DOs are amazing career options, DO just aligns perfectly with myself and my own beliefs!
