The Control Pause is an exercise and measurement used in Buteyko Breathing. It is simply how long you can COMFORTABLY hold your breath. It is a measure of carbon dioxide tolerance. The longer the Control Pause, generally the fitter and healthier you are. However, there are some exceptions!
