Schüler erzählt #204 - Steirische Harmonika 😊🎶

Lars from the Rhineland will play the pieces “Hansl Walzer,” “Stü Stad,” “Susi Boarischer,” “Ennstaler Polka,” “Dengel Polka,” “Links Rechts vor zurück,” “Teigitschgraben Walzer,” “Kreuzberg Polka,” “Der Paul und sein Gaul,” and “Amoi gehts no” (“Let's go”). Hubert and Lars are currently in the classroom. Lars had a rental harmonica until now. Now, after six months, he is certain he doesn't want to give up playing Styrian harmonica and is therefore choosing his own instrument. Lars played the organ many years ago, between the ages of 12 and 16. He always wanted to learn Styrian harmonica, but never had the time. For his 40th birthday, he received a voucher for an accordion course, but he never redeemed it. Then he built a house, and when it was finished, he wanted to continue to put the time he had invested into it to good use, to avoid them simply going back to school. Work is flowing. So he started searching Google for a Styrian harmonica course. He liked Ziachfuchs the most. "What could happen? In the worst case, the €120 for the harmonica rental is gone," he thought. In October, Lars sent a quick WhatsApp message, received a few photos of available harmonicas, chose one, which was then sent to him, and a few days later, Lars was able to get started. He's now been learning the Styrian harmonica for almost exactly six months with the Ziachfuchs learning videos, and everything has gone really well by heart right from the start. Lars doesn't remember the names very well, but the melody works well. He just plays them over and over again, and that's how he gets it stuck in his head, he says. His memorization and hearing skills improve with each song. He sticks strictly to the schedule, as it builds on each other. He usually plays standing up and likes to walk around the living room while playing. What he likes most about the harmonica Lars says that it helps him completely switch off. He can't think about anything else. What he particularly likes about learning with videos is that he can do it anytime and repeat it as often as he likes.
