This video is an edited compilation of only a few movements from an actual class; it does not include the evaluation process or the full exercise program. Therefore, rather than applying the movements shown in the video in isolation, an evaluation and exercise prescription tailored to the individual's condition and functional level must be performed first. Hello, this is Director Jo. In this video, I present a real case study where I applied Rehabilitation Pilates to a member complaining of lower back and pelvic pain to induce pain reduction and functional recovery! Lower back and pelvic pain are often not simply issues with specific joints or muscles, but rather result from a decline in the function of the neuromuscular system that controls movement and a decrease in the ability to distribute load. The exercises were conducted in stages to restore motor control in the core, glutes, and lower extremities, rather than directly stimulating the painful area, and to enable more efficient distribution of loads encountered in daily life. Additionally, by prescribing exercises of appropriate intensity considering the individual's pain sensitivity and functional level, the goal was to facilitate neurological adaptation and restore confidence in movement. In chronic musculoskeletal pain, what is important is not intense exercise, but providing an appropriate load that the body can currently handle.
