🧭 Exploring Abandoned Hotel Ruins Alyko | Naxos Island
Hello Everyone. Today we take you on an adventure like no other. We're exploring the abandoned hotel complex at Alyko, Naxos. The long-abandoned and uncompleted hotel complex on the beach at Alyko, Naxos dates back to the 1960’s/1970’s and the days of the military Junta in Greece. Although it is difficult to unearth many actual facts regarding the project, I am led to believe that, following the fall of the Junta, the constructions were deemed illegal and decades in the courts ensured that it became unrealistic for construction to be completed. Had it been completed, the hotel complex would have surpassed anything else in Greece for decades. As it is, the decaying and uncompleted buildings provide amazing photographic opportunities at a wonderful beach location on the West coast of Naxos, Greece. Today, the hotel is covered in very interesting art and it's one of top attractions on the island. #naxos #alyko #ruins
