From Flores Island with its dramatic cliffs, hidden waterfalls, and lush rainforests, to São Miguel with its volcanic craters, crater lakes, and rolling green hills, the Azores were full of surprises at every turn. Visiting the Azores in the shoulder season comes with its challenges. Flights get canceled, storms rolled in, and the weather changed constantly.
