Catch and Cook Challenge [ Overnight Camping ]

I set myself an overnight survival catch & cook challenge — no food brought in, everything had to be caught or gathered by hand. For this mission I managed to catch mullet, gather fresh oysters and cockles, and cook myself a proper meal over an open fire. No shortcuts, just simple coastal survival using what the ocean provides. As the sun went down, I spent the night camping in a hammock under pōhutukawa trees, sleeping beneath the stars. The only downside? Relentless mosquitoes absolutely feasting on me all night 😅🦟 Still, it was a solid night out, the challenge was a success, and there’s nothing better than eating a meal you earned yourself in the wild.
