Camping Overnight with an Old Handline and Catching Big Snapper

In this adventure I load up the kayak and paddle out to a remote camping spot for a true overnight catch and cook mission. With nothing but basic gear, my old wooden handline, and a net set out in the shallows, the goal is simple — catch dinner and survive the night. After setting the net, I start fishing with the handline and end up hooking into some seriously solid snapper. There’s nothing quite like feeling a big fish pulling on a handline — raw, simple fishing at its best. As the sun goes down, it’s time for a proper catch and cook over the fire using the fish we caught that day. Fresh fish cooked over open flames while camping beside the ocean… it doesn’t get much better than that. The night brings a new challenge though — a full mosquito invasion! After battling the bugs, I climb into the hammock for the night before waking up to another beautiful morning on the water. This is what it’s all about: simple gear, wild places, fresh food, and a good adventure. Thanks for coming along for the ride. 🎣 Kayak fishing 🔥 Catch and cook 🏕️ Overnight camping 🦟 Surviving the mosquitoes 🐟 Big snapper on the handline If you enjoy fishing, diving, camping and gathering your own food from the ocean, you’re in the right place.
