70 kilometres from the city of Pagadian, the Philippines, amidst the lush hills, stands Dumingag National High Dapiwan Extension. A school built to cater to the Subanen tribe - an indigenous group that was driven inland by the region’s coastal developments. In a province dominated by farming, this remote school has embarked on a new curriculum - organic farming. With a mayor advocating for the town to move towards sustainability, students like Prince and Jeceil are fast becoming the next generation with the necessary skillsets to push organic farming for Dumingag. From preparing the land, to seeds sowing and harvesting of one of the main food crops, corn, the teenagers begin to learn the importance of the concept of farm to table.
