Now on iPad too: Celestine (Granular FX) by ijo audio

This is a walkthrough and demo of Celestine by ijo audio, a realtime granular FX, now available for iPad, both standalone and AUv3. Previously, Celestine was only available as a Max for Live device for Ableton Live. I realised after making this video btw that I forgot to demo its randomiser. Just to mention that it’s a very usable randomizer, results seem generally very musical. Note: I now have a batch of Celestine presets up on my Patreon, which includes all the ones used in this walkthrough video, and more:   / 159482217   Celestine currently runs on iPadOS 17 and up, with future plans to allow it to run on both Macs and iPhones. This is in theory just a matter of clicking a few toggles while building, but the developer says he’d rather take his time to make sure everything runs as smoothly on iPhone and Mac as it does on iPad: https://apps.apple.com/app/celestine-... VST3 and AU desktop plugin versions are also planned, further down the road. In this video I explain all the main controls in detail, letting you hear tons of different examples of the 8 different granular engines, and the FX modes, on a range of input audio from synths to vocals, guitar and percussion. I think you’ll agree that this is bringing something fresh to the table, even if you already own a few different granular FX or synths. Intro price for iPad is $6 for the first 2 weeks, regular price will be $10. You can buy the Max for Live version, or other Max devices by the same dev, here: https://snakeshaky.gumroad.com/l/cele... Thanks again to Ian (ijo audio) for sponsoring this video. Note that sponsorship didn’t influence the content, and he didn’t see the video before it went public. Sponsorships buy my time and my thoroughness, not my opinion. I only take sponsored projects for apps I would genuinely recommend to my viewers. I’ve turned down plenty of offers over the years when I didn’t feel the fit was right. Cheers! Committing so much time to all this over the last 6 years has not been good for my finances. It's not just YouTube I work on - Insta, X and Patreon, beta testing, dealing with and reporting bugs, and a million other things, all take up really a lot of time. So whether you're a dev or an app buyer, if you value this channel, if you'd miss it if I stopped, please help me keep it alive. Don't expect that other people will support, most won't. Thank you for caring! There are loads of different ways to support.
