Great drone synth: SwarmaDie 2 (Swarmatron) plugin by Diego Cappocitti (34Audiovisuals)
This is my walkthrough, review and demo of SwarmaDie 2, an app / plugin for iOS and desktop inspired by the Dewatron Swarmatron, a beautiful, handmade analogue instrument good for making drones / swarms / experimental sounds. Fans of the hardware include Trent Reznor, Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, and Alessandro Cortini. SwarmaDie 2 can have up to 8 detuned oscillators (but less is more, try just a couple initially!), independently drifting, controlled by a Swarm ribbon that spreads them from a focused unison to a wide, chaotic cloud. Don't be put off by the fairly tame sound you hear near the start of the video - later in the demo when I really crank the filter, you'll see that this can really sing. If you like drone music and use iPad or iPhone, check out my video on great apps for drone music here: • 20 Great iOS Drone Music Apps (See Pinned ... Committing so much time to all this over the last 6 years has not been good for my finances. It's not just YouTube I work on - Insta, X and Patreon, beta testing, dealing with and reporting bugs, and a million other things, all take up really a lot of time. So whether you're a dev or an app buyer, if you value this channel, if you'd miss it if I stopped, please help me keep it alive. Don't expect that other people will support, most won't. Thank you for caring! There are loads of different ways to support.
