Beyond RCTs: What Can Dynamic Causal Modelling Tell Us About Public Health Interventions? | VAC4EU J

Bruno presented "Estimating the value of face coverings during the COVID-19 epidemic: a dynamic causal modelling study" (Bowie, Costello & Friston; 2025; BMJ Public Health). This paper uses dynamic causal modelling to estimate the effect of face coverings on COVID-19 transmission in the UK by integrating multiple time-series data sources, including cases, deaths, testing, vaccination, mobility and self-reported mask use. ------------------------------------------- The VAC4EU Journal Club is a monthly informal gathering designed for researchers at all levels, but particularly early-career professionals.
