Avon Valley Railway - London Transport Gala - 17/10/15

London Transport was the theme for this year's End of Season Gala at the Avon Valley Railway. The gala would bring together three London Transport liveried locomotives; Metropolitan Railway E Class 0-4-4T no.1 (a.k.a Met 1), GWR 4575 Class 2-6-2T no.5521 (Running as L150) and GWR 5700 Class 0-6-0PT no.5786 (Running as L92). Completing the line up would be the home based Hunslet Austerity Class 0-6-0ST no.15 'Earl David', not strictly a locomotive with LT connections, but a welcome addition nonetheless. Throughout the day, these four tank engines would work to an intensive timetable of passenger and goods trains, featuring double headers, non-stop runs, banking runs, and even a triple header with three LT liveried locos. A further addition to the London Transport theme was the use of two Routemaster buses, working a shuttle service for visitors to the line, between Keynsham and Bitton. Shots included are: Met 1: Bitton North Crossing and Cherry Gardens Lane. L150: Field Court Farm (With Met 1 banking), Bitton North Crossing and Meadow Court Drive. L92: Bitton North Crossing and Cherry Gardens Lane. Met 1, L92 and L150: Field Court Farm. 15: Bitton North Crossing, Cherry Gardens Lane, Field Court Farm and the Bristol & Bath Railway Path. Filmed on a Panasonic HS900 with a Pro Sound L92AA microphone. Enjoy.
