Chestnut Pie | Vegan, Gluten & Sugar Free
This is a typical Tuscan dessert and its recipe originates back to year ‘500! It’s vegan and sugar & gluten free. Recipe: Ingredients Chestnut flour - 2.5 cups / 250g Pine nuts - 1/2cups / 50g Water - 11 oz/ 325ml Raisins - 1/3 cup / 40g Olive oil - 1 table spoon / 20g Walnut - 1/2cup / 50g Rosemary Directions: 1. Wash the raisins and soak for 10 min 2. Chop the walnuts 3. Strip the rosemary leaves from the stem 4. Sift the chestnut flour into a large bowl 5. Add 325ml of water gradually stirring with a whisk 6. Add the chopped walnuts and the whole pine nuts (leave some aside to sprinkle) and mix well 7. Squeeze the raisins and add to the mixture 8. Add a pinch of salt (optional) 9. Grease a tray with olive oil 10. Transfer the mixture and even out with a spoon 11. Sprinkle with the remaining pine nuts, rosemary and olive oil 12.
