Jesus Is Calling (Weekly Hymn Project)

Today's hymn is "Jesus Is calling". I would say this is a lesser known (to me) Fanny Crosby hymn; a nice surprise from the usual, shall we say. So refreshing, I think, to listen to how some writers can put the call of the Lord. Such words like tenderly, will not turn thee away, pleading. Reminds me of the image of the Father waiting for the arrival of His son, seeing him down the road coming home after a life of debauched living, and then not waiting for him, but running to him enclosing him in a warm embrace.
