Gartell Light Railway - Open Day, 29/08/2016

Monday 29th August 2016 saw the Gartell Light Railway host their annual Summer Bank Holiday Open Day. This years event was extra special, with the first public run of new build 0-4-2T No.8 'Faith', built in the Gartell Workshops. Filmed from a number of lineside locations, we see the line-up of 3 steam locomotives, plus diesel, working the steep gradient up onto the old Somerset & Dorset track bed, which the main section of the Gartell now runs. Featuring Non-Stop, Banking, Parallel and Double Header Runs, the day was sure full of action. Many thanks to the friendly and welcoming member of GLR, for giving me permission to me to film from a number of special lineside locations.
