Green Hydrogen – A Galway Solution to a Global Crisis | Rory Monaghan | TEDxGalway

How renewable energy and green hydrogen can power Ireland's future and can turn the country from a fossil fuel importer to a clean energy superpower. Rory holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from NUI Galway, and a Masters and PhD degree, also in Mechanical Engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He leads a team of 14 researchers that studies the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors with technologies like green hydrogen, sustainable bioenergy, renewable fuels, and carbon capture utilisation and storage, in projects with partners from around Europe and the world.
