#44 Balcony Garden & Quiet Days in Trieste | Italy Slow Living

In this silent vlog I'll take you from my small balcony garden to the beautiful city of Trieste, sharing quiet moments, tomato growing, flowers, nature, and a peaceful walk across the Karst Plateau. 🌿 During the second week of May, I transplanted my tomatoes, added fresh straw mulch, and prepared everything before leaving home for a few days. Then it was time for a short trip to Trieste, a city where I lived for ten years. Instead of telling its story with many words, I wanted to let the images speak for themselves—from Piazza Unità to the peaceful Karst landscape. Back home, I was happy to find the balcony garden doing well thanks to a little rain, my drip irrigation system, and my daughter's help while I was away. The tomatoes continue to grow alongside lettuce, basil, marigolds, cucumbers, chili peppers, nasturtiums, and the first blooming Coreopsis. Every season brings new surprises, and that's one of the reasons I love growing food and flowers in such a small space.
