Inside Alaska’s Most Extreme Week: Iditarod + Fur Rondy #Iditarod2026#FurRondy #Anchorage

I traveled to Anchorage, Alaska for two of the state’s biggest events: Fur Rondy (Fur Rendezvous) and the ceremonial start and Official Restart of the Iditarod. From street races with sled dogs to snow sculptures, activities, and one of the most legendary endurance races in the world — Alaska celebrates winter like nowhere else in America. Iditarod is known as The Last Great Race on earth. As someone who has now visited all 50 states (twice) and all 63 U.S. National Parks, I can confidently say this is one of the most uniquely American travel experiences you can have. In this video: What Fur Rondy is really like The history behind the Iditarod What to see if you attend Tips if you plan to go What surprised me most Subscribe for weekly USA travel content as I revisit every state sharing my experiences in each one. #AlaskaWinter#DogSledRace#ExploreAlaska#TravelUSA#All50States#WinterInAmerica#AmericanAdventure Iditarod- https://iditarod.com Fur Rondy- https://furrondy.net/events
