A look inside 3 signalboxes on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway

Filmed during the Diesel Gala in June 2025. I was lucky enough to be invited into 3 of the 4 working signalboxes on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Included is a brief recording of the instruments, levers, signalbox plan, and a quick chat with the Signaller. The line is 18 miles long from Pickering to Grosmont. Or 24 miles if you include the extension to Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors is home to a Harry Potter filming location: Goathland Station, which served as Hogsmeade Station in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone".
