Nestled in the remote part of our country India near the Bangladesh border a town from the province of Assam is my motherland 'SILCHAR'. This video is my rendition of beauty that lies hidden amongst the congested cacophony of the second most populous town of Assam without going into the region’s decades old history of quiet struggle. Silchar the “gateway” of Barak Valley (named after the river that flows through it) has more then what you see in this video from a full fledged airport to plethora of educational institutions like NIT, Medical college, University etc. As this is a small cinematic rendition I find the visuals best describes the place. An indepth consolidation of a place is better presented by a documentary which I may try some other time. I included few pIaces which are at periphery of the town and visiting Silchar is incomplete without going to those places.
