ep13. 한국에서 카페가 살아남기 어려운 진짜 이유 | 해외 카페를 통해 본 한국 카페 생존론

Visiting cafes abroad makes me realize anew just how unique the Korean cafe market is. From Blank Street in New York and Tim Hortons in Canada to cafes in Australia and Europe. Through experiencing cafes in each country, I examined the pricing, competitive environment, and startup structure that differ from those in Korea. Korea has a well-established infrastructure to support cafe startups, ranging from supplying coffee beans and supplies to interior design, machine installation, and after-sales service. Thanks to this, starting a cafe is relatively easy, but the proliferation of cafes has made it a much more difficult market to survive in. Conversely, while some overseas markets have less competition, they are not easy to start because entrepreneurs must handle raw material procurement, facility management, and distribution networks themselves. Then, are Korean cafes competitive when they go abroad? And can they succeed locally simply by the name "K-Cafe"? I discussed the strengths and limitations of the Korean cafe market, as well as its future potential, based on my experiences visiting cafes overseas. ※ The evaluations of the overseas cafes in this video are based on the stores visited and personal experiences. Prices may vary depending on country-specific taxes, exchange rates, menu items, and serving sizes. Please also let us know in the comments which cafe left the most lasting impression on you while abroad. #Cafe #Coffee #OverseasCafe #KoreanCafe #CafeStartup #BlankStreet #TimHortons #CoffeeCulture #CafeMarket
