Discovered the best kept secret on the way to Carnarvon Gorge - Winter Hiking Holiday - July 2024

I returned from the UK then Rach and I travelled north to Cania Gorge Tourist Park (one of our favourites). We explored the National Park for a few days before heading west inland to the Acadia Ranges and Lake Nuga Nuga. A day later we took a punt and drove up the range to Carnarvon Gorge. The parks were full but at Takaraka they squeezed us in for which we were grateful. Sadly it would only be one night as our van batteries failed so we dashed south to Roma to get some emergency repairs. After an overnight stay at the Mucka Pub we started our return journey via Miles before heading home to Brisbane. A great trip but we will return as we felt we didn’t get to see enough of Carnarvon Gorge. Cheers
