On the contrary, it is proof of wisdom and clear-sightedness, for our true destination is with God. We must work diligently, love our families, fulfill our responsibilities, and serve our neighbors. But no earthly success should take the place of our eternal hope. Our supreme and central concern must be the things of heaven. Thus, nothing on this earth can distance us from heaven, and everything God entrusts to us here below will become a means of preparing for our eternity with Him.
