#familynotonlytravel We invite you to a series of vlogs from our eight-day road trip through Morocco's "Magical South." In the third part, we'll visit a craft workshop in Erfoud where marble with embedded fossils is processed. We'll stop at the Khetarras—one of the world's oldest underground irrigation systems—and head to the Todra River Gorge, whose gorge, with its steep rock walls 300 meters high, is considered one of Morocco's unique geographical features. We'll then travel through the charming Dades River Valley. Due to its abundance of traditional fortified architecture (kasbas built of clay), this section of the road is also known as the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs." We'll then travel through the El Kelaa M'gouna region, famous for growing the exceptionally fragrant rose, known as the "rosa damascena," and producing rose oil for our hotel in Ouarzazate. The next day, we'll travel through the High Atlas Mountains along a picturesque road, leading over the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2,260 m above sea level) to Marrakech.
