Was Gaming Actually Better When We Were Younger?

Was gaming better when we were kids? From what I’ve seen the answer is yes but we can’t seem to connect why and what time frame we are all talking about. I’ve spoken in prior videos about how I loved gaming when I was a kid and how I’m unhappy about the state of modern gaming but is gaming worse now than it was when I was a kid? Well, this is contentious. When I was a kid we looked at games released between 2008 to 2016 as what I would consider as some amazing years but for others the decline was already happening during that period and for some that decline hasn’t happened. Today I want to talk about the state of modern gaming and try to answer and explore this concept of whether gaming was better when we were kids, Why many of us feel this way, in what ways we are wrong, and in what ways we are correct.
