The two members were representatives of the military and police. Nearly three decades later, the denial was repeated. This was reflected in the statement by the Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, in an interview with IDN Times' "Real Talk" last year. Fadli questioned the term "mass rape." Palupi also admitted she was not surprised by the Jakarta State Administrative Court's (PTUN) ruling, which dismissed Fadli's lawsuit regarding his denial. According to her, the state had repeatedly tried a similar pattern of denial through its officials. When reconfirmed by BBC News Indonesia, Fadli again questioned the term.
