The Cateran Trail Ultramarathon | 55 Miles in the Scottish Highlands

This stunning race, organised by Rocket Events, follows the Cateran Trail. Starting and finishing in the Spittal of Glenshee, the 55 Mile loop takes in over 2000 metres of ascent as it follows old drove roads and ancient tracks across a varied terrain of farmland, forests and moors. Some of these routes follow the same ones used by the Caterans – fearsome cattle thieves from the Middle Ages, from whom the trail is named.
