Peace, Access, and Hope

This week Pastor David continues the series on the book of Romans with a message titled "Peace, Access, and Hope" from Romans 5:1-5. Justification by faith is a powerful truth—but what is it actually good for? What does it do? In this message, Pastor David explores the transforming effects of being declared right before God through faith alone. If you've grasped the doctrine but wondered how it changes your everyday life, this passage is for you. Paul lays out at least four wonderful effects flowing from justification by faith: peace with God (the war is over and His wrath is satisfied), access into grace (ongoing, confident admission into the King's favor—illustrated beautifully by the story of Queen Esther approaching the throne), joy in the hope of God's glory, and even joy in the midst of suffering. Along the way you'll hear how suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces a hope that will never put us to shame—because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. The big idea: you can and should enjoy the transforming effects of justification by faith. 📖 Scripture: Romans 5:1-5 ⛪ Christ Community Church, Ripon 🎙️ Pastor David Morris
