The Untold Truth About The People Living Under Las Vegas

Deep underneath the Las Vegas Strip is a hidden world most people will never see. In this video, I explore the Las Vegas tunnels, the underground flood channels where many people experiencing homelessness have found shelter beneath the city. These tunnels are often talked about online as the home of the so-called “mole people,” but I wanted to see the truth for myself. I went deep inside the dark tunnels under Las Vegas to meet the people who actually live there, hear their stories, and understand why someone would choose to survive underground. What I found was intense, dangerous, emotional, and completely different from the way these people are often portrayed. The Las Vegas storm drain tunnels can be terrifying. They are pitch black, full of graffiti, rats, bats, flooded areas, makeshift beds, and signs that people are doing whatever they can to stay safe and out of the heat. When it rains, these tunnels can become deadly within minutes. But for some people living on the streets of Vegas, the tunnels feel safer than sleeping above ground. I met people who have been living underground for years. Some lost jobs, some lost loved ones, some lost housing, and some simply had nowhere else to go. They showed me where they sleep, how they survive, what they fear, and what they wish more people understood. This is not just another Las Vegas tunnel exploration video. This is a look at homelessness in Las Vegas, the people living under the city, and the reality behind the “mole people” myth. Because after spending time in the Vegas tunnels, I can say this clearly: They are not mole people. They are regular people trying to survive.
