Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Commentary #043, Atlantica (2): Swim This Way

This is video #043 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here:    • Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Playthrough #04...   The party has "landed" on the watery world of Atlantica, where they have again been transformed into sea creatures so they can explore the undersea kingdom. Sebastian has asked them to participate in his musical production to try to get Ariel's mind off life on the surface. Sounds fun, but I'm not too optimistic about achieving Sebastian's ulterior goal. The party chats with Sebastian (time 1:02). When they agree to participate, it is time for the first part of his musical, "Chapter One: Swim This Way." This musical minigame is pretty easy. You have to get at least one note on the staff in the upper left by scoring "Excellents." Scoring a "Good" won't add a note to the staff, but it won't remove any notes, either. Scoring "Bads" will remove notes from the staff, though, so be careful. After the party clears "Swim This Way," another scene will occur (time 4:32). Sebastian seems pleased. However, I don't think Ariel was distracted one bit. King Triton shows up to greet the Key Bearer. Afterwards, there is a scene with the charming prince up on the surface (time 5:44). Then, back under the sea, there is a scene with Ariel and Sebastian (time 6:17). Flounder shows up with a bright idea. Down by a shipwreck, Flounder shows Sebastian and the party what he has found (time 7:01). A statue has fallen out, but the party cannot get at it. As they board the Gummi Ship, it is revealed that the Magnet spell is required to move the statue (time 8:03). To the north of the Undersea Courtyard, Sora can now reach Triton's Throne in the palace (time 9:49). Behind the throne, there are two "Frontier" Puzzle Pieces (time 10:07). One piece depicts Kairi's feet and goes in the middle slot on the bottom row, rotated so that her feet are hanging down. The other one is vague and goes in the lower-right corner, rotated so that the lighter parts are in the upper-left corner and the right side of the piece. Afterwards, out in the Undersea Courtyard, Sora examines the Musical sphere to replay the "Swim This Way" number for Jiminy's Journal (time 11:18). They head over to Disney Castle to revisit with the characters (time 15:02). There no longer seem to be any Heartless there, fortunately. There will be a Mushroom XIII to find in the Timeless River. In the Library, Sora drops off a small collection of materials for Synthesis (time 17:16). Can't make a single thing, though! How disappointing. Then, they head back to the Timeless River through the door in the Hall of the Cornerstone (time 19:03). In the Timeless River's Waterway area, they find Mushroom XIII No. 11 (time 21:09). This one wants Sora to attack it until the number overhead reaches 0. However, that sadistic Jiminy Cricket wants this mission completed within 19 seconds. Afterwards, Sora reviews the Jiminy's Journal entries so far for Atlantica (time 23:51). Next up, it will be time to head to Port Royal and meet up with the best pirate ever envisioned in American cinema. Thank you for watching!
