Posterior Pelvic Tilt Correction - Get Rid of Lower Back Pain with Sitting (Seat Height Adjustment) One of the most common issues I see with people who have lower back pain with sitting is an excessive posterior tilt of the pelvis and associated flexion of the lumbar spine. This position of excessive lumbar flexion and excessive posterior pelvic tilt is often associated with restrictions in hip mobility. These restrictions in hip mobility perpetuate this painful seated position. Making a simple chair height adjustment is an easy way to get some relief and ensure that you are not compensating during the day when sitting. However, most people don't understand how to test for this limitation in hip mobility that leads to this position. In this video, we discuss the relevant anatomy, testing, and troubleshoot common issues related to seated posture, posterior pelvic tilt and chair height.
