Stealthy 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury More Powerful Than It Looks
The 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury was a mid-sized car with a 426-inch-cubic-inch "Wedge" engine that made it more powerful than its looks suggested. Nate Sornborger of Harwinton, CT shows off his understated model that goes back to the dawn of the muscle car era. (Editor's note on Dec. 12, 2023: As noted by a sharp reader, the story incorrectly states that "Plymouth built the Fury model between 1959 and 1978." The company actually launched the Fury in 1955 as a 1956 model.)
