064 On A Hard Lifter Above Open Road

Filmed in late September, 2016. Freshwater area of Humboldt County - you can see the vehicles passing (Freshwater Road) down the hill,,, which didn't get closed... Some of the wood from this unit seen pictured in the deck. This tree was really tall. ~ 4 and ½ long (40s) in height. And, was on the edge of the "windtunnel" (road) which gets plenty of blasts form the Northwest. As we looked at the stump you could see that there wasn't an exorbinate amount of holding wood left. Had the wind picked up it would have been advantagous actually. This tree went East/Southeast into the lay. What we did see, a bit of a pain to get "up". Wedges stacked. Would have gone a bit easier/better had the back of the tree been easily accessable. Overhead cutting on the far side back as we could see as well. That's always fun. 5'2" on the stump. 46" x 50" at the 1st 20' log. The GoPro filming device doesn't due it's size or length perspective much justice, I'm afraid. Considering that the penalty points for loosing a tree of this size, or any for that matter, over backward and across the road would have been a little more than a timeout. Actually, thinking it would have resulted in a trip to the penalty box. Probably would have been a extend stay as well. Resultantly,,, I TOOK MY SAW-WEET TIME! So in essence, God, overseeing the process making sure eveyone lived to tell. Also, helping me look like a better timber faller than I really am. Using my TRUSTY 064 to get the tree dead & bucked up.
