1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR "704" - PURE ENGINE SOUNDS!

During the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, I have filmed this insane 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR "704" (W196S) in action on the hillclimb. In 1955 Mercedes-Benz dominated both Grand Prix racing and the Sports Cars Championships, in different versions of its W196 racing machines. The sports car variant, the 300 SLR, won every race it finished that season. This is a sister car to the famous "722" and it's mechanically identical. It has the same three litre straight eight engine, the same 180mph top speed and the same incredible noise from its stubby exhaust. Enjoy the video! Liked the video?
