I-4 and Daryl Carter Parkway Interchange Project Complete
Workers finished transforming the Daryl Carter Parkway overpass into a new Interstate 4 (I-4) diverging diamond interchange (DDI) in September 2025. The newest connection to I-4 includes exits from both directions to Daryl Carter Parkway (Exit 70) and a new eastbound I-4 entrance ramp. An entrance to westbound I-4 will be built as part of a future project. This vital new interchange alleviates traffic at nearby I-4 interchanges at Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R. 482), Central Florida Parkway, and Apopka-Vineland Road (S.R. 535), while providing improved access to residences, attractions, businesses, shopping, and I-Drive in Orlando's busy tourism corridor.
