The American Southwest is running out of water. And while there are many ways to conserve water for the region and create a more sustainable water ecosystem for decades to come, one of the most discussed is the idea of a water pipeline from the Great Lakes to the Southwest. But while this might be technically feasible, the financial costs and environmental damage would be staggering.
