We visited their birthplace, where they grew up, were educated, and developed their character. Within walls that still hold their essence, we understood that their struggle was not in vain and that their legacy lives on in every Dominican who believes in justice and dignity. We walked through a place where history hurts, inspires, and awakens conscience. During our visit to the Mirabal Sisters' Birthplace and Museum, every corner reminded us that there were women who gave everything for a free country.
