IBSF World Cup Altenberg - Women's Skeleton - Heat 2

With the seventh races of the 2025/2026 season, the IBSF Bobsleigh + Skeleton World Cup will come to a close in Altenberg (GER, 16–18 January). Tension levels could not be higher ahead of the finals. As well as the crystal trophies to be awarded to winners and runners-up in the overall World Cup standings, the event will also be the final chance for athletes to rank and collect points for qualifications for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. Three weeks ahead of the opening to the Winter Games in Italy, the International Bobsleigh + Skeleton Federation (IBSF) will also be crowning the first ever overall winners of the Skeleton Mixed Team discipline in Altenberg. Das Finale ist an Spannung kaum zu überbieten: Neben den Kristallkugel-Pokalen für die Sieger und Platzierten der Weltcup-Gesamtwertungen geht es auch letztmals vor den Winterspielen Mailand Cortina 2026 um Plätze und Punkte für die Olympiaqualifikation. Drei Wochen von dem Start der Winterspiele in Italien zeichnet der Internationale Bob + Skeleton Verband IBSF in Altenberg erstmals auch die Gesamtsieger im Skeleton Mixed Team aus. Die Team-Disziplin der Skeleton-Athleten ist bei den Winterspielen Mailand Cortina 2026 erstmals olympisch.
