Textiles & Tea with Emerson Croft The Handweavers Guild of America, Inc.'s (HGA) takes place every Tuesday at 4 PM (ET). We've invited some of the most respected fiber artists in the field today to join us for an hour-long conversation in which we discuss their artwork and creative journeys. Make a cup of your favorite tea and join us as we talk about fiber, creativity, inspiration, process, and so much more. Emerson Croft is a craftsperson and educator based in Berea, Kentucky. They hold a B.A. from Berea College, where they studied biology and sociology. Their background in the natural and social sciences informs their personal work, which centers on themes of community, human nature, and humor. Croft serves as the Weaving Manager at Berea College Student Craft, supervising a production studio staffed by undergraduate students. Primarily a fiber artist, their practice focuses on weaving and quilting, with additional interests in woodworking, bookbinding, and songwriting, which they incorporate into their work whenever possible.
