草は養分を奪うのか?|土を育てる草が、野菜を弱らせる理由

Grass is supposed to nourish the soil, so why do vegetables lose out to weeds? In natural farming, grass is cut and spread on the furrows, returning it to the soil. However, when living grass and vegetables grow in the same place, competition occurs not only for nutrients, but also for light, water, and space for roots and leaves to spread. In this video, while looking at fields of burdock, green beans, watermelon, and adzuki beans, we consider: Does grass really steal nutrients from vegetables? Why does the initial growth difference widen further? Is it better to cut the grass early? How does the amount of care needed change depending on the type of grass and its distance from the crops? The nourishing of the soil by grass and the competition with the vegetables in front of it can happen simultaneously. The important thing is not to categorize grass as friend or foe, but to observe the relationship between grass and vegetables in that particular location. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ■ Related Videos ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▼Previous Video    • 草は元気なのに、なぜ野菜だけ育たない?|育つ畑はどう変わるのか   This video explores the origins of weeds and vegetables, and the process of how fields change, including vegetation, to explain why weeds grow easily while vegetables struggle to grow. ▼A Gentle Approach to Weed Control    • 草整理で疲れない「3つのエリア分け」 一年草ステージを維持する管理のコツ【自然農】   This video explains how to manage weeds by dividing the field into areas such as around crops, furrows, and pathways, rather than managing the entire field uniformly. ▼How Nutrients Circulate in a Fertilizer-Free Field    • 無肥料でも育つ畑の仕組み|自然農で窒素はどう回る?   This video provides a detailed explanation of how nitrogen circulates within a field through weeds, crops, and microorganisms. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ■ note|Thinking about Natural Farming in Your Own Field ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ For those who watched the video and thought: "So, what should I be looking at in my own field?" "Should I leave the weeds or cut them? How should I ultimately decide?" In this note, instead of simply transcribing the YouTube content into text, I reflect on what happened in my field and delve deeply into the following points in writing: ・Why did I think that way? ・Can it be explained by a single cause? ・What did I overlook? ・How can I rethink things in my own field? If you're looking to explore perspectives for thinking about natural farming in your own field, by observing the soil, weeds, insects, and vegetables, rather than simply increasing the number of "right answers," please start here. ▼note Top Page https://note.com/yasai_no_kokoro ▼Articles to Read in Conjunction with This Video 【Why Vegetables Aren't Growing with Natural Farming | "How to Look at Your Field" Learned from a 30㎡ Field】 https://note.com/yasai_no_kokoro/n/n0... Was it because weeds stole the nutrients? Is the soil fertility insufficient? Should I have mowed the weeds earlier? When vegetables aren't growing, the more you try to pinpoint a single cause and increase the number of countermeasures, the harder it becomes to see the field clearly. This article summarizes what I re-evaluated and how I started to look at my field based on my own experience of barely being able to grow any vegetables in a 30㎡ community garden. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ■ Free Consultation on Natural Farming ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I started natural farming, but my vegetables aren't growing.
