In this episode, I'll show you how to make underwater robotics training models from ordinary PVC pipes, ropes, weights, Velcro, and scrap materials. This isn't a perfect lab from a catalog, but a real engineering workshop: we cut, soldered, weighted, tested in water, modified, and figured out how to assemble tasks for children from simple materials. And then comes the fun part. We'll be moving to the pool, where the children are trying out the Midle ROV underwater robot, working with the manipulator, comparing it to simpler robots, and saying how much better it is to operate: a camera, a gripper, new tasks, and more real engineering. And at the end of the episode, that very gift. Together with the students from the Vladivostok Robotics Development Center, we donated an expensive underwater robot to an educational institution so that children from Perm and the Perm Krai could train, prepare for competitions, and develop their skills in underwater robotics. In this episode: — We assemble models for underwater training ourselves; — We demonstrate how to replace expensive materials with simple solutions; — We test buoyancy and weight in water; — We develop additional tasks for children; — We watch how schoolchildren and preschoolers operate the underwater robot; — We donate the robot to the educational institution.
