Hammer Restoration [With Resin Eye]

When I restored the old rusty hammer head, I had to soft anneal, Sandblasting, grind, file, harden, hand sand and polish the metal. The hammer handle I made new, for this I used ash. For good measure, I filled the eye of the hammer with resin, which added a lot to the look. Please also note that this video is not only to quickly show someone how something works, but also to relax and unwind from everyday life! ------------------------------------------------------------ ▶ What did I do ?! ◀ The old, rusty hammer head was already heavily rusted, which could be seen from the pitting. To remove the rust, I decided to use the process of electrolysis. Soft annealing allowed me to work the hammer head better because the surface was no longer so hard. To do this, I heated it to 700 °C and let it cool slowly. In the next step, I ground, sandblasted, polished and painted the hammer head. It was also hardened again at 900°C and tempered three times at 200°C. The hammer handle was made on the lathe, rubbed with linseed oil varnish and the hammer eye was filled with resin.
