12 Hours in Alaska's Backcountry: Wild Hens, Mushrooms + Moose
Spruce hen season is open, and we took the day to go get some birds and scout around for moose! We love these wild hens, abundant to hunt and delicious on the dinner plate. We used the time to also stock up on more berries and wild mushrooms for winter. A Hawk's Wing, a giant Puff Ball patch, some Boletes, Blueberries + Currants came home with us. And some birds, too!
