Fare i genitori è diventato impossibile (per quello non si fanno più figli)

In Europe, people aren't having children anymore. But the real reason isn't what they tell us. It's not (just) poor welfare. It's not (just) young people's individualism. There's a third cause that no one talks about, and today we're trying to bring it to light together with three great thinkers: Byung-Chul Han, Hannah Arendt, and Christopher Lasch. Being a parent today has become an impossible job. You have to be perfect, you have to perform, you have to give your child everything: English classes, sports, music, endless attention, an Instagram-worthy home, textbook emotional balance. And if you don't, you feel like a failure. It's what sociology calls intensive parenting, and it's one of the real reasons why in Italy we have 1.2 children per woman. Welcome to Colapasta.
